Prayers for the families who have lost so much.
I look around my daughters home where I am staying...
and worry....she sits in Tornado alley here in Oklahoma.
Last year all the tornadoes started past their town and headed East.
It seems to be doing that again this year.
They don't have a shelter...they know people who do.
I am praying they get one this year!!
I pray that all my blogging friends have survived.
You know we have been learning about prepping for emergencies...
I look at the destruction of those homes...preps blown away.
I can see where a large underground shelter would be essential
for storing survival stuff and for taking up shelter in an emergency.
We have all been really sick here...I started off the week with 103
and a cough...I assumed it was the flu...and treated it that way.
By Friday I was seeing a Dr. who sent me to the emergency room to be checked into
the hospital...she said I had pneumonia.
My blood oxyegen was in the 80's not good at all!!...the ER Dr. sent me home
with presciptions for steriods, antibiotics and inhalers...
he says it is full blown Bronchitis.
Now the steriods are causing me to bruise all over my legs
and when I cough it feels like my pelvic bones are breaking....argh
I guess I will be seeing the Dr. again tomorrow.
The rest of the crew is now on the mend...some tested
positive for a new strain of the flu....others now have mild Bronchial problems.
We learned with this many sick we all were carrying around toliet paper for noses
meds galore line the kitchen counter...lysol wipes and spray are used
A lot...and more than multiple times a day.
There is throwing up with some children...so lots of washing of clothes and bedding.
Big buckets are needed per child ...they never make it to the bathroom....yuck
Wendy is now stocking up on way more meds....she ran through a ton of her supplies.
One slilver lining.....Guess what Hydrogen Perioxide gets rid of?
Yeast infections...I know icky subject...but when you are on antibiotics
well somethings happen...even to little ones. Wendy read where you
rinse off the area with Hydrogen Peroxide...and it does burn...for a few minutes...and
walla it disapears. Wendy had it miserable...she treated her self twice with it...and it was gone.
She said it was the cheepest and fastest cure she has ever seen.
Just thought you might learn something from our ordeal.
I was suppose to be on my way home today...Walker will have to
come get me later this week. I am to weak to travel.
I have missed you all...my head hurt to bad to even read anything. Today I can
finally sit and type a little. I hope to catch up soon.
Please know I care and think of you often.
Hugs to all and please be safe and well.
Cindy

I have been thinking about you alot and was getting worried. Wow, so many sick. You have to be so careful with the flu.....and you girl with pneumonia. Keep in touch with that doctor, please. I don't get the bruising. Your pulse ox wasterribly low. My goodness, girl.
ReplyDeleteI had sreph and ear infections and I think mono. It has been two weeks and still on antibiotics. Thank heavens it didn't go to my chest. I am feeing better.
So much devastation. I had a bag full if the doggies and I had to take cover. It wouldn't help if it all blew away. So scary....esp. with children.
I like the new grandchildren picture. I will call you later in the week.
(((((HUGS))))
You poor thing! I was thinking about you being in Oklahoma...especially with everything that's been on the news. I'm glad you are safe, but very sorry that you and your family are sick. Hope you make it home safely this week.
ReplyDeleteCindy, Sure hope you are feeling better! Have a safe trip back to Texas.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Ava
Cindy, so sad you and yours are sick. Sounds like you have really been run through the mill. I pray you all recover soon and get back to "normal" living...whatever that is.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry you are all feeling so bad. I do hope you get better soon. So sad to see the news almost too hard to watch. After years of living in Texas with no basement I am thankful that we have one in Kansas. Mother nature doesn't know any boundaries. Keep us posted on how you are doing and stay well. Good to know about the peroxide. Smiles...Renee
ReplyDeleteOh dear! I remember those days when everyone in the house would get sick... horrible days they were! Except that the kids would be extra cuddly. poor things.
ReplyDeleteI hope you and everyone else are feeling much better today! And that you can go home soon.
